Brief Profile

Before his appointment as an Hon. Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development in November, 2015, he had been an academic staff of the Department of Philosophy, University of Calabar since 1998 where he taught several courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. Between 1998 and 2014, he rose from the rank of a Graduate Assistant to an Associate professor (Reader). His areas of specialty include Logic, Epistemology and Immanuel Kant's Philosophy. He holds a B.A degree in Philosophy in 1991, Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in 1997, M.A (Philosophy — Epistemology) in 2004 and a Ph.D (Kant's Ethics/Political Philosophy) in 2007.

Besides attending academic conferences and presenting scholarly papers, the author has contributed to many book chapters and published about 30 researched articles in both reputable local and foreign Journals. As a visionary leader with a focus on critical analysis of socio political issues, he received several meritorious awards. He had successfully served the University of Calabar in various capacities including Exams Officer, Academic Adviser, Chairman Graduate School Thesis vetting Committee, Sub-Dean ofthe faculty of Arts etc. An indigene of Idomi in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State. Born in 1968 and married to Philomena. They are blessed with four lovely and wonderful Children.
